Finding Freedom In Forgiveness

Jennifer was raped by a man and she assumed the man was Ronald Cotton. Ronald was put in prison, he served eleven years, during that time he knew he had never done what people said he did. When Cotton was taken out of prison and was found wrongly accused Jennifer was so beaten up that she had chosen the wrong person. When she asked Ronald to forgive her, he said “I had forgiven you a long time ago.” Ronald had also said “The whole time I was in prison I could have let my hate consume me and could have hated everyone for putting me there. I didn’t I choose to stay free in my heart and that was only a choice I could make.” This later taught Jennifer to forgive the man who raped her because she didn’t want to be a prisoner of her own hatred. So, Jennifer and Ronald believe in not hating but by finding peace in forgiveness.
