College Students and Everyday Life
In high school I heard just about every day of my senior year how “college is going to be harder.” In the statement “College students often struggle to balance their schoolwork with the demands of everyday life” is true to a certain extent. College material itself is not hard. It is the responsibility of doing the work in a certain amount of time that makes it hard. For example, I have a part time job and do college work full time. With working four days a week, having class 3 days a week, with two hybrid classes, two regular classes, and trying to spend quality time with family/friends. The part that makes college such a struggle is all the work we receive to do not in class but in our own time. The question is how we find time with all we have going on. For example, in high school we had eight hours a day to go to school and get our work done there. Now with so many things going on at once we do not have eight hours a day to give to college schoolwork. Another example is before I had a job and went to college I did not struggle to get my college work done because I had plenty of time on my hands.
